Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 4th July 2022

Week commencing Monday 4th July 2022 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Dickens Way and Jackson Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th June 2022 to Friday 22nd July 2022. Due to works on behalf of Transport for Buckinghamshire near the junction of the A41 Bicester Road in Quarrendon and Haydon Hill, parts of Jackson Road and Dickens Way will be closed during these dates. Service 2, 4, and 5 buses will be following diversion routes. The stop opposite the Cotton Wheel pub will not be served during this time and temporary stop will be installed beyond the Belgrave Road junction.

  • Service 2 is running to a revised timetable missing Haydon Hill. After serving the John Kennedy bus stop, buses will turn round divert via Belgrave Road.
  • Service 4 / 4A is currently running a revised timetable with most buses operating operate directly along the A41 between Aylesbury town centre and Berryfields. The Monday to Friday morning peak time journeys which serve stops on Jackson Road & Meadowcroft will divert via Belgrave Road.
  • Service 5 will operate from town as normal to Haydon Hill, then turn at Lautrec Way and divert via Meadowcroft and Belgrave Road.

North Orbital Road, Denham : Monday 1st to Sunday 31st July 2022, 11.00pm to 5.00am. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed at these times. Bus route 724 will divert and will not serve stops in Denham on these nights.

Chartridge Lane, Lee Common : Wednesday 6th to Thursday 7th July 2022 and Wednesday 13th to Friday 15th July 2022, 8.30am to 5.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these dates. Bus routes 177 and 190 will need to turn after serving the Lee and will not serve stops along Chartridge Lane between Swanbottom and Chesham.

Oxford Road / Chalkpit Lane, Marlow : Thursday 7th to Friday 15th July 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these dates. Buses 800 and 850 will divert via Spittal Street and not serve the stops on Oxford Road, Queen’s Road or Dean Street. Services 155 and 160 will miss stops on Spinfield Lane, Terrington Hill, Barnards Hill and Queen’s Road. Bus route 28M will not serve the stops on Oxford Road or Queen’s Road.

High Street, Princes Risborough : Saturday 9th July 2022. Due to a summer festival buses will divert via New Road, missing the ‘Market Square’ stop.

Moreton Road, Buckingham : Saturday 9th July 2022. Due to Western Power works this road will be closed, buses will divert via Western Avenue, missing the ‘Market Hill’ stops and the town bound ‘Western Avenue’ stop on Moreton Road.

Bus Stop Closures

Camborne Avenue, Aylesbury : Monday 23rd May to Tuesday 16th August 2022. Due to works on behalf of Thames Water the ‘Jansell Square’ stop for school time route 50 and 61A bus routes only will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Langdon Avenue’ stop instead.

Thame Road, Chilton : Monday 23rd May to Tuesday 16th August 2022. Due to works on behalf of Thames Water the two stops on Thame Road will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside the works area and hail to the drivers to stop.

Wendover Road, Hampden Hall, Weston Turville : Monday 13th June 2022 to Monday 4th July 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Silver Birch Way’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hampden Hall’ stop instead.

Aston Clinton Road, Aylesbury : Monday 4th to Saturday 9th July 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works in the vicinity the two ‘Holiday Inn’ stops will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Bedgrove Lights’ stops instead.

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Monday 4th to Sunday 10th July 2022. Due to Instal works the ‘White Horse PH’ stop for journeys travelling away from the town centre will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Riverside’ stop instead.

Little Marlow Road, Marlow : Friday 1st to Friday 8th July 2022. Due to Instal works the two ‘Foxes Piece’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Spittal Street’ stops instead.

Aylesbury Road, Princes Risborough : Friday 1st to Saturday 30th July 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the two ‘The Avenue’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Peter’s Lane’ stops instead.

Main Road, Walter’s Ash : Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th July 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the two ‘Woodcock Avenue’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Kilnwood’ stops instead.

Oxford Road, Stone : Monday 4th to Wednesday 6th July 2022, 7.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Crossroads’ stop for journeys towards Thame will not be served on these nights. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Long Furlong’ stop instead.

Wingrave Road, Aston Abbotts : Tuesday 5th July 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Openreach works the ‘Wingrave Road’ stop for journeys towards Leighton Buzzard will not be served at these times.

Bookerhill Road, High Wycombe : Wednesday 6th July 2022. Due to Freeflow works the two ‘Roundwood Road’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops on New Road instead.

Bellingdon Road, Chesham : Friday 8th July 2022. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Fire Station’ stop will not be served on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Valley View’ stop on Hivings Hill instead.

New Road, High Wycombe : Saturday 9th July 2022. Due to Marjen works the ‘Squirrel Lane’ stop for journeys towards Cressex will not be served on this day. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Turnpike Corner’ stop instead.

Amersham Road, Hazlemere : Saturday 9th July 2022. Due to Marjen works the ‘Holy Trinity Church’ stop for journeys towards Holmer Green and Penn will not be served on this day. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Holmer Green Road for routes 1, 1A and 41 or the ‘Crossroads’ stop on Penn Road for route 31.
