Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 25th July 2022

Week commencing Monday 25th July 2022 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Dickens Way and Jackson Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th June 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022. Due to works on behalf of Transport for Buckinghamshire near the junction of the A41 Bicester Road in Quarrendon and Haydon Hill, parts of Jackson Road and Dickens Way will be closed during these dates. Service 2, 4, and 5 buses will be following diversion routes. The stop opposite the Cotton Wheel pub will not be served during this time and temporary stop will be installed beyond the Belgrave Road junction.

  • Service 2 is running to a revised timetable missing Haydon Hill. After serving the John Kennedy bus stop, buses will turn round divert via Belgrave Road.
  • Service 4 / 4A is currently running a revised timetable with most buses operating operate directly along the A41 between Aylesbury town centre and Berryfields. The Monday to Friday morning peak time journeys which serve stops on Jackson Road and Meadowcroft will divert via Belgrave Road.
  • Service 5 will operate from town as normal to Haydon Hill, then turn at Lautrec Way and divert via Meadowcroft and Belgrave Road.

North Orbital Road, Denham : Monday 1st to Sunday 31st July 2022, 11.00pm to 5.00am. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed at these times. Bus route 724 will divert and will not serve stops in Denham on these nights.

Main Street, Charndon : Thursday 21st to Tuesday 26th July 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these days. The route 16 bus journey due at Charndon Main Street at 1402 will instead serve Charndon Recreation Ground.

London Road, Loudwater : Friday 22nd to Tuesday 26th July 2022. Due to Freeflow works the ‘Loudwater Turn’ stop for journeys towards High Wycombe will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Rayners Avenue’ stop instead.

Abbey Barn Lane, High Wycombe : Monday 25th to Friday 29th July 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Openreach works part of this road will be closed. Bus route 34 will operate a revised temporary timetable during this time diverting via Kingsmead Road, Swains Lane, Heath End Road, travelling into Abbey Barn Lane from the south and turning back the same way, missing Daws Hill Lane, The Coachway and Marlow Hill. Passengers can use the 36 for Daws Hill Lane and Marlow Hill, or route 8 for the Coachway.

Whaddon Road and Bletchley Road, Newton Longville : Monday 25th to Friday 29th July 2022, 9.00am to 5.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works parts of these roads will be closed on these days. After serving the stops on Westbrook End, bus route 50 will turn left diverting via Whaddon Road and Standing Way. The ‘St Faith’s Church’ and ‘Greenway’ stops on Whaddon road and all Bletchley Road stops will be missed.

Fort End, Haddenham : Tuesday 26th to Thursday 28th July 2022. Due to Thames Water works this road will be closed on these days. Buses will divert via Churchway and Station Road, missing the ‘Tacks Lane’ stops on Fort End, and the ‘Bridens Way’ and ‘Station Bridge’ stops on Thame Road. The railway station will continue to be served.

Swallow Street, Iver : Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th July 2022. Due to Affinity Water works this road will be closed on these days. After serving the stops on Slough Road bus route 3 will divert via Bangors Road South, missing stops on Swallow Street and Norwood Lane.

Holtspur Top Lane, Beaconsfield : Friday 29th July 2022. Due to Openreach works this road will be close. bus route 380 will divert missing the stops on Cherry Tree Road.

Bus Stop Closures

Camborne Avenue, Aylesbury : Monday 23rd May to Tuesday 16th August 2022. Due to works on behalf of Thames Water the ‘Jansell Square’ stop for school time route 50 and 61A bus routes only will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Langdon Avenue’ stop instead.

Thame Road, Chilton : Monday 23rd May to Tuesday 16th August 2022. Due to works on behalf of Thames Water the two stops on Thame Road will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to wait where safe outside the works area and hail to the drivers to stop.

Barnsbury Avenue, Aylesbury : Wednesday 8th June 2022 to Monday 8th August 2022. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘Barnsbury Avenue’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Narbeth Drive instead.

Aylesbury Road, Princes Risborough : Friday 1st to Saturday 30th July 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the two ‘The Avenue’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Peter’s Lane’ stops instead.

Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross : Wednesday 20th to Monday 25th July 2022. Due to works in the vicinity the two ‘South Park Crescent’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘St Mary’s School’ stops instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Royal : Thursday 21st to Monday 25th July 2022. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘Farnham Pump’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fairfield Lane’ stops instead.

Chartridge Lane, Chesham : Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th July 2022. Due to works by Freeflow the ‘Chiltern Hills Academy’ stop for journeys towards Chartridge will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop on Park Road instead.

White Lion Road, Amersham : Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th July 2022, 7.00pm to 5.00am. Due to Virgin Media works the ‘Black Horse Bridge’ stop for journeys from Little Chalfont will not be served on these nights. Passengers for the last 106 journey towards Amersham are advised to use the ‘Village Hall’ stop.

West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe : Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th July 2022. Due to Thames Water works the ‘Mill End Road East’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Mill End Road’ stop instead.

Finings Road, Lane End : Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th July 2022. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘Village Hall’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stop on The Row instead.

Tring Road, Aylesbury : Monday 25th to Friday 29th July 2022. Due to Thames Water works the two pairs of stops at ‘The Plough’ and ‘Grecian Street’ will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised that the nearest alternatives for ‘The Plough’ are the ‘Limes Avenue’ stops and for the ‘Grecian Street’ stops at ‘Tring Road Cemetery’.

Ellen Road, Aylesbury : Monday 25th July 2022 to Thursday 18th August 2022. Due to UKPN works the ‘Ellen Road Shops’ stop for journeys towards Hawkslade and the Hospital will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Blackwater Drive’ stops.

Lent Rise Road, Burnham : Monday 25th July 2022 to Friday 5th August 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works the two ‘Coulson Road’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Cornell’s Corner’ stops instead.

Little Marlow Road, Marlow : Tuesday 26th to Thursday 28th July 2022, 8am to 4pm. Due to Freeflow works the ‘Spittal Street’ stop for journeys towards Henley will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Foxes Piece’ stop instead.

Wingrave Road, Aston Abbotts : Wednesday 27th July 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Openreach works the ‘Wingrave Road’ stop for journeys towards the village centre will not be served at these times.

Hogfair Lane, Burnham : Wednesday 27th to Friday 29th July 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works the ‘Lincoln Hatch Lane’ stop for journeys towards Wexham Court will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fairfield Road’ stop instead.

High Street, Waddesdon : Wednesday 27th July 2022 to Friday 23rd September 2022. Due to Thames Water works the two ‘The Lion’ stops will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Baker Street’ stop instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Common : Friday 28th July 2022 to Monday 1st August 2022. Due to Freeflow works the ‘Royal Oak PH’ stop for journeys towards Slough will not be served during these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Templewood Lane’ stop instead.
