Roadworks in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 1st August 2022

Week commencing Monday 1st August 2022 Transport for Buckinghamshire will be carrying out work at the following locations.

The works are part of a rolling programme. As some activities are weather dependent the dates may change at short notice.

Conventional Resurfacing Improvement Schemes

Bletchley Road, Newton Longville – Newton Longville Crossroads : Monday 25th July 2022 to Thursday 4th August 2022 – Conventional resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday 25 July 2022 to Friday 29 July 2022 between 9.00am and 5.00pm and a further road closure Monday 1 August 2022 to Friday 4th August 2022 between 8.00pm and 6.00am.

Heet Road, Marsh Gibbon – From A41 to Clements Lane : Monday 25th July 2022 to Monday 1st August 2022 – Conventional resurfacing works using a road closure in operation 24 hours Monday to Sunday. Typical working hours will be 7.00am to 7.00pm with the closure remaining in place overnight to prevent through traffic damaging the unfinished surface.

Wellesley Avenue, Iver – Bathurst Road to Richings Way : Wednesday 27th July 2022 to Monday 1st August 2022 – Conventional resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Marsh Gibbon Road, Edgcott – Grendon Road to Castle Street : Thursday 28th July 2022 to Saturday 6th August 2022 – Conventional resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday to Sunday between 7.00am to 7.00pm with the closure remaining in place overnight to prevent through traffic damaging the unfinished surface.

Rayners Avenue, Loudwater – A40 London Road to Robinson Road : Monday 1st August 2022 to Tuesday 2nd August 2022 – Conventional resurfacing works using a road closure with a lane closure and temporary traffic lights on A40 London Road in operation Monday to Friday between 7.00am and 5.00pm.

Kimblewick Road, Kimble Wick – Stockwell Lane to Lower Icknield Way : Wednesday 3rd August 2022 to Friday 12th August 2022 – Conventional resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday to Sunday between 7am to 7pm with the closure remaining in place overnight to prevent through traffic damaging the unfinished surface.

Colne Orchard, Iver : Wednesday 3 August 2022 – Remedial carriageway works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 5.00pm.

College Road North, Aston Clinton – North bound slip lanes : Friday 5th August 2022 to Saturday 6th August 2022 – Remedial carriageway works using a road closure and lane closure in operation Monday to Saturday between 8.00pm and 6.00am.

Buckingham Road, Radclive – Near to Chackmore Crossroads : Monday 1st August 2022 to Wednesday 3rd August 2022 – Surface patching works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Aylesbury Road, Wing – Church Street to Cottesloe School Roundabout : Wednesday 3rd August 2022 to Friday 5th August 2022 – Surface patching works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 7.00pm to 6.00am.

Microsurfacing Preparation Works

Tower Road, Coleshill – A355 to Village Road : Monday 1st August 2022 to Wednesday 3rd August 2022 – Surface patching works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Village Road, Coleshill – Tower Road to Barracks Hill : Thursday 4th August 2022 to Friday 5th August 2022 – Surface patching works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 5.00pm.

Footway Improvement Schemes

Gore Road, Burnham – Lent Rise Road to High Street : Monday 1st August 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022 – Footway improvement works using two- and three-way lights at the junctions and a footway closure in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

Street Lighting Schemes

Chapel Lane, High Wycombe – Outside No. 93 : Wednesday 3rd August 2022 to Thursday 4th August 2022 – Lamp column replacement works using two-way temporary traffic lights in operation Monday to Friday between 8pm to 6am.

Mill End Road, High Wycombe – Outside No. 2 : Wednesday 3rd August 2022 to Thursday 4th August 2022 – Lamp column replacement works using three-way temporary traffic lights in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00pm to 6.00am.

Lining Works

A412 Uxbridge Road, Wexham / Iver – From Five Points Roundabout to County Boundary : Friday 29th July 2022 to Thursday 4th August 2022 – Installation of road markings and road stud works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday 9.00pm to 5.00am.

Drainage Improvement Schemes

Hivings Hill, Chesham : Monday 4th July 2022 to Friday 12th August 2022 – Drainage improvement works using a combination of give and take traffic management and multi-way lights at the junctions which will be in operation Monday to Friday between 7.00am until 5.00pm. There will also be a 24-hour road closure at the junction of Belmont Road with Ridgeway Road from Monday 4th July 2022 until Friday 22nd July 2022.

Safety Barrier Repair Works

A413 Amersham Road Roundabout, Chalfont St Peter : Thursday 4th August 2022 to Friday 5th August 2022 – Safety barrier repair works using a lane closure in operation Monday to Friday between 9.30am to 3.30pm.

A421 Bletchley Road / Thornborough Bridge, Buckingham : Friday 5th August 2022 to Monday 8th August 2022 – Safety barrier repair works using two-way temporary traffic lights in operation Monday to Friday between 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Intelligent Traffic System Upgrade

Aylesbury Gyratory, Aylesbury – Stoke Road, Aylesbury : Monday 1st August 2022 to Wednesday 3rd August 2022 – Preparation works for intelligent traffic system upgrade using a road closure in the Eastbound direction only in operation Monday to Friday between 7.00pm and 5.00am.

Bridge Schemes

High Street, Marlow – Marlow Bridge : Tuesday 5th October 2021 to Tuesday 25th October 2022 – Major bridge refurbishment using a footway closure when appropriate in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Highway Infrastructure Projects (HIPs)

A41 Bicester Road – Rabans Lane to Paradise Orchard including Jackson Road and Dickens Way, Aylesbury : Overnight road closures of the A41 will commence Monday to Friday from 8.00pm to 6.00am, while construction works and carriageway resurfacing of the A41 is undertaken. The A41 will be closed between Rabans Lane and the Paradise Orchard junction, a local diversion will be in place during these overnight closures. It should also be noted that for safety reasons, both Jackson Road and Dickens Way will remain closed until the new traffic signals are fully operational. The reason for both Jackson Road and Dickens Way to remain closed is purely for safety reasons due to the change in configuration of the junction from a roundabout to a signal-controlled junction. During this time the workforce will be required to install new cabling and traffic signals. It is imperative that the safety of the workforce and both residents and travelling members of the Public remain paramount during these works. As such the existing diversion routes for both Jackson Road and Dickens Way will remain in place until Tuesday 30th August 2022.
