Roadworks in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 15th August 2022

Week commencing Monday 15th August 2022 roadworks will be taking place at the following locations in Buckinghamshire.

The works are part of a rolling programme. As some activities are weather dependent the dates may change at short notice.

Conventional Resurfacing Improvement Schemes

London Road, Aston Clinton – From Upper Icknield Way to Lower Icknield Way : Monday 15th August 2022 to Friday 26th August 2022 – Conventional resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00pm to 6.00am.

Plane and Patch Schemes

Main Road / New Road, Walters Ash – From Bradenham Wood Lane to Parkwood : Monday 15th August 2022 to Wednesday 17th August 2022 – Surface patching works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Gore Road, Burnham – Lent Rise Road to High Street : Monday 1st August 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022 – Footway improvement works using two- and three-way lights at the junctions and a footway closure in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

Street Lighting Schemes

Chapel Lane, High Wycombe – Outside No. 93 : Tuesday 16th August 2022 to Wednesday 17th August 2022 – Lamp column replacement works using two-way temporary traffic lights in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00pm to 6.00am.

Mill End Road, High Wycombe – Outside No. 2 : Tuesday 16th August 2022 to Wednesday 17th August 2022 – Lamp column replacement works using three-way temporary traffic lights in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00pm to 6.00am.

Failed Road Schemes

Shipton Lee, Edgcott – From Perry Hill to Clayton Road : Friday 12th August 2022 to Saturday 27th August 2022 – The road will be closed whilst work is carried out from Friday 12th August 2022 to Friday 19th August 2022. Typical working hours will be 7.00am to 7.00pm with the closure remaining in place overnight to prevent through traffic damaging the unfinished surface. We will then be carrying out a sweep to remove any loose chipping from the road, applying a sealant to the new road surface and reinstating the road markings. These works will take place on Saturday 27th August 2022 using a road closure in operation 7.00am to 7.00pm.

Drainage Improvement Schemes

Hivings Hill, Chesham : Monday 4th July to Wednesday 31st August 2022 – Drainage improvement works using a combination of two-way and three-way temporary traffic lights in operation Monday to Friday between 7.00am until 5.00pm.

Safety Barrier Repair Works

A41 Aston Clinton Bypass, Aston Clinton – From Woodlands Roundabout to Tring Hill Slip Roads : Monday 8th August 2022 to Tuesday 16th August 2022 – Safety barrier repair works using lane closures along the bypass and a slip road closure leading to B489 Lower Icknield Way in operation Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Network Safety Schemes

Hatters Lane, High Wycombe – From Wingate Avenue to Windrush Drive : Monday 8th August 2022 to Wednesday 7th September 2022 – Installation of a new signalised pedestrian crossing using two way temporary traffic lights in operation Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Bridge Schemes

High Street, Marlow – Marlow Bridge : Tuesday 5th October 2021 to Friday 25th November 2022 – Major bridge refurbishment using a footway closure when appropriate in operation Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Highway Infrastructure Projects (HIPs)

A41 Bicester Road – Rabans Lane to Paradise Orchard including Jackson Road and Dickens Way, Aylesbury : Work will continue on the Eastbound and Westbound near Jackson Road / Dickens Way junctions with narrow lanes whilst construction of two traffic islands and footway works are undertaken. Works will be undertaken daytime and two-way traffic flow will be maintained at all times along the A41. The reason for both Jackson Road and Dickens Way to remain closed is purely for safety reasons due to the change in configuration of the junction from a roundabout to a signal-controlled junction. During this time the workforce will be required to install new cabling and traffic signals. It is imperative that the safety of the workforce and both residents and travelling members of the Public remain paramount during these works. As such the existing diversion routes for both Jackson Road and Dickens Way will remain in place until Friday 2nd September 2022.
