Bus stop suspensions and service diversions in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 22nd August 2022

Week commencing Monday 22nd August 2022 the following bus stop suspensions and service diversions are expected to affect bus services in Buckinghamshire.

Bus Diversions

Dickens Way and Jackson Road, Aylesbury : Monday 13th June 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022. Due to works on behalf of Transport for Buckinghamshire near the junction of the A41 Bicester Road in Quarrendon and Haydon Hill, parts of Jackson Road and Dickens Way will be closed during these dates. Service 2, 4, and 5 buses will be following diversion routes. The stop opposite the Cotton Wheel pub will not be served during this time and temporary stop will be installed beyond the Belgrave Road junction.

• Service 2 is running to a revised timetable missing Haydon Hill. After serving the John Kennedy bus stop, buses will turn round divert via Belgrave Road.
• Service 4 / 4A is currently running a revised timetable. Journeys which serve stops on Jackson Road & Meadowcroft will divert via Belgrave Road.
• Service 5 will operate from town as normal to Haydon Hill, then turn at Lautrec Way and divert via Meadowcroft and Belgrave Road.

Wycombe Road, Saunderton : Wednesday 10th to Tuesday 23rd August 2022. Due to SGN works the following pairs of stops will be closed during this period: ‘Foundry Lane’, ‘Little Lane’, ‘Haw Lane’ and ‘Ministry Wharf’. Please note these works will use rolling lights and the stops will not be closed at the same time. Please refer to the stop notices and use the next stop along when closed.

London Road, Aston Clinton : Monday 15th to Friday 26th August 2022, 8.00pm to 6.00am. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed on these nights. Evening journeys on services 61 and 500 will divert via the A41 bypass and will not serve Aston Clinton.

Wycombe Road, Prestwood : Tuesday 16th to Monday 22nd August 2022. Due to urgent gas works this road is currently closed. Bus route 41 will divert and will be unable to serve stops between Heath End Road in Great Kingshill and Great Missenden.

New Road, Tylers Green : Wednesday 17th August 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works this road will be closed between Ashley Drive and Hazlemere Road. Buses will divert as follows:

• Routes 31 and 31A will run a one way loop diverting via Ashley Drive on journeys back to High Wycombe. As such the stops on Curzon Avenue and Hazlemere Road will be served in one direction only and passengers travelling to High Wycombe are advised to use the stop on the opposite side of these roads to usual. The ‘Potters Cross’ stops on New Road will not be served.
• Bus routes 377 and 577 will divert via Ashley Drive in both directions missing the stops on Curzon Avenue, Hazlemere Road and the ‘Potters Cross’ stops on New Road.

North Orbital Road, Denham : Friday 19th August 2022 to Tuesday 25th October 2022, 10.00pm to 6.00am. Due to HS2 works this road will be closed overnight during this period. Night time 331 and 724 journeys will divert missing Denham.

High Street, Ivinghoe : Monday 22nd to Friday 26th August 2022, 9.00am to 3.00pm. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works this road will be closed at these times. Bus routes 61 and 167 will need to divert and will not serve stops on the High Street or Marsworth Road (between the High Street and Vicarage Road).

Lent Rise Road, Burnham : Monday 22nd August 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022. Due to Cadent Gas works this road will be closed between Stomp Road and Bath Road. Bus routes 53 and 68 will divert and the ‘Coulson Way’ stops will not be served. Please use the ‘Cornell’s Corner’ stops just north of the junction with Stomp Road instead.

Daws Hill Lane, High Wycombe : Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th August 2022, 8.00am to 6.00pm. Due to Openreach works this road will be closed at these times. Bus route 34 will run as normal as far as the ‘Pine Trees’ stops on Daws Hill Lane before turning back, as such will not serve The Coachway on these days. Bus route 36 will divert via the A40 London Road, Station Road, Treadaway Hill and Swains Lane. As such will not serve Heath End Road, Daws Hill Lane or Marlow Hill.

Church Street, Chesham : Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th August 2022, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Due to this road closure, bus route 177 will need to divert and will not serve stops on Church Street, Missenden Road or the ‘Hyde End’ stops on Chesham Road.

Bus Stop Closures

Blind Lane, Bourne End : Thursday 4th to Monday 22nd August 2022. Due to works on behalf of Swish Fibre Networks the ‘Loddon Road’ stop for journeys towards High Wycombe will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Waborne Road’ instead.

Cam Mead, Aylesbury : Wednesday 10th August 2022 to Wednesday 2nd November. Due to Thames Water works the stop on Cam Mead will be missed during this period. Passengers are advised to use a temporary stop provided round the corner on Long Meadow.

Wendover Road, Hampden Hall, Aylesbury : Monday 15th August 2022 to Sunday 9th October 2022. Due to Transport for Buckinghamshire works the ‘Silver Birch Way’ stop for journeys towards Aylesbury will not be served during this period. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Hampden Hall’ stop instead.

Chesham Road, Amersham : Thursday 18th to Friday 25th August 2022. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Hervines Road’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Oakfield Corner’ stops located on Hill Avenue.

Arnison Avenue, High Wycombe : Monday 22nd August 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to works in the vicinity the ‘Sheraton Drive’ stop for journeys towards Hazlemere will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Windsor Drive’ stop instead.

London Road and Micklefield Road, High Wycombe : Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th August 2022. Due to Freeflow works the ‘Micklefield Road’ stop for journeys towards High Wycombe and the ‘Post Office’ stop for journeys towards Loudwater will not be served on these days. For journeys into High Wycombe, please use the other ‘Post Office’ stop. For journeys travelling away from High Wycombe please use the ‘Ford Street’ stop, or nearest alternative if travelling up to Micklefield or down Abbey Barn Road.

Thame Road, Long Crendon : Monday 22nd to Wednesday 24th August 2022. Due to Freeflow works the two ‘Southfield’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the temporary stops provided outside the works area instead.

Chapel Street, Marlow : Monday 22nd to Monday 29th August 2022. Due to Instal works the ‘Spittal Street’ stop for journeys towards Henley will not be served at these times. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Foxes Piece’ stop on Little Marlow Road instead.

London Road, High Wycombe : Monday 22nd August 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022. Due to works on behalf of SSEN the two ‘London Road, Lidl’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Chestnut Avenue’ stops instead.

Risborough Road, Little Kimble : Monday 22nd August 2022 to Friday 2nd September 2022. Due to Power On works the two ‘Brookside Lane’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Railway Station’ stops instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Common : Tuesday 23rd August 2022. Due to Freeflow works the two ‘Farnham Pump PH’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Fairfield Lane’ stops instead.

London Road, High Wycombe : Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th August 2022. Due to Openreach works the ‘Loudwater Turn’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Rayners Avenue’ stop instead.

Plomer Hill, High Wycombe : Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th August 2022. Due to Freeflow works the ‘Pheasant Drive’ stop for journeys from High Wycombe will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Southfield Road’ stop instead.

Newbarn Lane, Seer Green : Tuesday 23rd August 2022 to Thursday 1st September 2022. Due to SSE works the two ‘Newbarn Lane’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Twitchell’s Lane’ stops located on Three Households instead.

Bicester Road, Oakley : Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th August 2022, 9.30am to 3.30pm. Due to Openreach works the two ‘Brill Turn’ stops will not be served at these times.

Bicester Road, Aylesbury : Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th August 2022. Due to Freeflow works the ‘Southern Road’ stop for journeys towards the town centre will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘West Street’ stop instead.

Holmers Farm Way, High Wycombe : Wednesday 24th to Friday 26th August 2022. Due to works in the vicinity the two ‘Alford Road’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Westwood’ stops instead.

Beaconsfield Road, Farnham Royal : Thursday 25th to Monday 29th August 2022. Due to Freeflow works the ‘Fairfield Lane’ stop for journeys towards High Wycombe will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Farnham Pump PH’ or the ‘Farnham Park Lane’ stops instead.

Cores End Road, Bourne End : Thursday 25th to Wednesday 31st August 2022. Due to Swish Fibre works the two ‘Cores End’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the ‘Brookbank’ stops instead.

Station Road, Beaconsfield : Friday 26th August 2022, 8.00am to 5.00pm. Due to Affinity Water works the two ‘Candlemas Lane’ stops will not be served on these days. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Aylesbury End instead.
