An accountancy and business advisory practice in Buckinghamshire is on track for increased annual turnover after consolidating three offices.

The Beaconsfield office of Azets, a top 10 UK accountancy firm, employs 77 people including eight partners.

Having generated £6.5 million in revenues in the previous financial year from the three offices, the practice is forecast to eclipse that figure with double-digit growth.

In February 2022 the offices at Amersham, Bourne End and High Wycombe decanted to modern 4,600 sq ft offices at Burnham Yard, London End, Beaconsfield, the move having been delayed by two months due to the pandemic.

Stephen Grant, Managing Partner at Beaconsfield, said: ‘Staff from the three offices have settled in superbly, underscoring the strategic decision to consolidate regional operations under one roof and providing a seamless service for small-to-medium size firms.

All our service lines are doing well, with audits and accounting for new clients generating additional income.

I have been really encouraged that companies have been approaching us, asking us to tender.

Thanks to word of mouth in a niche market, we are also receiving increased instructions for service charge verification and accounting from agents acting for freeholders of residential blocks of flats, shopping centres, retail parks, office blocks, industrial parks, to verify expenditure and present it in a compliant way so leaseholders can receive certified expenditure from the freeholder or freeholder’s managing agent.

In addition, we have also received some tenant-led instructions as well to review service charges on behalf of tenants.

It is against this backdrop, along with referrals from the professional services community, and in our first year of reporting as Beaconsfield, that we forecast double-digit growth.

The office, in just 12 months, has become a regional centre of excellence for companies, businesses, organisations and individuals, helping clients navigate the UK’s challenging fiscal landscape to achieve their business and personal goals.

The business environment is tough out there at the moment. However, it is also tough for a business’s competitors.

Those that are well advised will be in a better position to out compete their competitors.

Service lines provided by Azets at Beaconsfield include tax, business accounting, advisory, business advisory services, audit & assurance, restructuring, recovery & insolvency and forensic accounting. Sectors served include property, construction, technology and charities.

In June 2022, staff raised thousands of pounds for Chiltern Foodbank through a sponsored 13.5-mile walk between the company’s former offices and the new one.
