Two men have been arrested by police officers investigating the murder of a 17 year old boy in High Wycombe town centre.
On Sunday 7th May 2023, police officers were called to the Easton Street area of High Wycombe following reports of a stabbing.
Police officers attended along with the ambulance service but tragically, a 17 year old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The boy is yet to be formally identified.
Another boy, also aged 17, was wounded and was been taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
On Monday 8th May 2023, police officers made two arrests. These are a 49 year old man and a 29 year old man. Both men are from High Wycombe and both have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Senior investigating officer, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, head of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: ‘Our investigation into this tragic incident continues at pace, and we have now made two arrests.
I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone who was in the area of Easton Street between 6.45pm and 7.30pm on Sunday evening (7/5) to come forward. If you saw anything unusual or have any dash cam or video footage from that location at that time, please get in touch on the numbers below.
