Police appeal for specific witnesses following an incident of assault in Aylesbury

An appeal for specific witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following an assault in Aylesbury.

On Tuesday 13th June 2023, at around 7.30pm, two 14 year old boys, were physically assaulted outside the Londis in Hampden Gardens. The attack appears to be unprovoked.

The two boys suffered bruising, swelling and cuts to the face, which required hospital treatment however both boys have since been discharged.

The assailant is described as a black male who was wearing black clothing.

The incident was captured on CCTV and shows several members of the public coming to the boys aid, Thames Valley Police are appealing for these people to come forward.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Sarah Spain, based at Aylesbury police station, said: ‘We would ask anyone who has witness information or may have dash-cam footage or CCTV of the incident to please come forward.

Police have arrested a 14 year old boy in connection with the incident on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, he has been bailed until Monday 24th July 2023.
