Buckinghamshire based air conditioning and refrigeration business selected as a finalist for industry award

Air conditioning and refrigeration company SFE Services, based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, has been selected as a finalist in the RAC Cooling Awards.

The ACR installation, maintenance and repair provider, with offices in Widmer End, is a finalist in the Small Company Achievement of the Year category.

The RAC Cooling Awards are famed for recognising the best refrigeration and air conditioning businesses. The ceremony will take place on 21st September at the Grosvenor Ballroom, London. The awards, returning for the 20th year, celebrate the trade’s achievements on all fronts – innovation; environmental progress; best practice; and personal development.

SFE Services is shortlisted for a project completed at Gloucester City Council. The company was selected by TESN Projects to support an office space refurbishment in the city’s Eastgate Shopping Centre. The council chose to work with SFE Services to create a sustainable and energy-efficient system to meet its cooling, heating and air quality needs as part of its pledge to achieve net zero by 2030.

SFE Services installed the Panasonic Mini ECOi 10HP system, with four cassettes, four TZ wall-mounted units and three energy recovery units – ensuring exceptional ventilation around the site. The new system supersedes an outdated and inefficient gas boiler, improving efficiency and lowering environmental impact. In addition, the solution provides superior air quality and ventilation – adding to the wellbeing of employees and visitors to the shopping centre.
