Police appeal for witnesses following a public order incident in High Wycombe

An appealing for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following a public order incident in High Wycombe.

On Friday 1st March 2024, between 4.45pm and 5.30pm, four males were running around Spearing Road with knives challenging people to engage in a fight.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Daisy Tarrant, of High Wycombe CID, said: ‘I would urge anyone who may have been in area or who may have information about this incident to please contact police.

If you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, particularly in Spearing Road adjacent to the service road and the junction at Cross Road. Please check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.

Police have arrested two boys from Reading, aged 16 and 17, on suspicion of affray and possession of a bladed article in connection with the incident. The 16 year old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and the 17 year old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A drug.

A 17 year old boy, previously of High Wycombe, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a bladed article.

All three boys have been released on conditional bail.
