Roadworks in Buckinghamshire for the week ahead – Monday 3rd June 2024
Week commencing Monday 3rd June 2024 roadworks are scheduled to take place at the following locations in Buckinghamshire.
The works are part of a rolling programme. As some activities are weather dependent the dates may change at short notice.
Conventional Resurfacing Works
Kings Lane, Kings Ash : Monday 3rd June 2024 to Thursday 6th June 2024 – Conventional resurfacing works using a road closure. In operation between 7.30am and 6.00pm.
Surface Dressing Preparatory Work
A413 Buckingham Road / Lillingstone Road, Akeley : Installation of temporary road studs starting on Tuesday 4th June 2024. It is anticipated these works will take approximately 4 nights to complete. The work will be carried out using a road closure, in operation Tuesday and Wednesday 8.00pm to 6.00am. Permanent road studs will be installed once the surface dressing works have been completed in July / August 2024.
Plane and Patch Works
Lower Icknield Way, Marsworth : Monday 3rd June 2024 to Wednesday 5th June 2024 – Plane and patch works using a road closure. In operation between Tuesday and Friday 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Sheepridge Lane, Flackwell Heath : Wednesday 5th June 2024 to Thursday 6th June 2024 – Plane and patch civil preparation works using a road closure. In operation between Tuesday and Friday 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Place Farm Way, Monks Risborough : Thursday 6th June 2024 to Tuesday 11th June 2024 – Plane and patch works using a road closure. In operation between Tuesday and Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Structures Works
Berry Hill Footbridge Replacement, Near Mill Lane, Taplow : Tuesday 7th May 2024 to Friday 14th June 2024 – Footbridge replacement works along Mill Lane : Mill Lane Bridge Section – using a 24 / 7 road closure, as well as localised parking restrictions.
Marlow Suspension Bridge, High Street, Marlow : Monday 20th May 2024 to Tuesday 4th June 2024 – Bridge survey and investigation works along High Street using a road closure. In operation between 8.00pm and 6.00am.
Active Travel Works
Picasso Place, Aylesbury : Monday 13th May 2024 to Friday 7th June 2024 – Raised table and cycleway installation using give and take traffic management. In operation between Monday and Friday 8.00am and 4.30pm.
Chelsea Road, Aylesbury : Thursday 30th May 2024 – Tuesday 4th June 2024 – Priority work extending existing dropped kerb for cyclists, reconstructing a footway, and changing a gully top frame and cover.
Stubble Hill near Long Leys, Aylesbury : Wednesday 5th June 2024 to Wednesday 12th June 2024 – Priority work installing a new dropped kerb for pedestrians.
HS2 Road Safety Fund
School Hill, Charndon : Tuesday 28th May 2024 to Monday 24th June 2024 – Junction widening works at the junction of School Hill with Perry Hill, Charndon. The works will also include installing new signs and road markings, minor drainage works and kerb adjustments. A road closure in operation between Monday and Friday 9.30am and 3.00pm.
Coring Investigation Works
Woodley Hill / Chesham Boat 133 : Monday 3rd June 2024 to Wednesday 5th June 2024 – Coring investigation works using a road closure. In operation between Monday and Wednesday 8.00am and 4.00pm.
Orchard Lane, Great Missenden : Monday 3rd June 2024 to Wednesday 5th June 2024 – Coring investigation works using a road closure. In operation between Monday and Wednesday 8.00am and 4.00pm.
Botterells Lane, Chalfont St Giles : Tuesday 4th June 2024 to Thursday 6th June 2024 – Coring investigation works using a road closure. In operation between Tuesday and Thursday 9.00am and 3.00pm.
Traffic Calming Works
London Road, Aston Clinton : Tuesday 2nd April 2024 to Tuesday 20th August 2024 – Traffic calming works using a combination of both two-way and three-way temporary traffic lights. In operation between 8.00am and 5.00pm.
Road Safety Maintenance Works HS2 Road Safety Fund
Weedon Hill, Hyde Heath : Monday 20th May 2024 to Friday 21st June 2024 – Road safety maintenance works including widening the existing footway, installing new street lighting columns, surface water drainage, installing a puffin crossing, carriageway resurfacing and road markings. These works will be carried out using two-way temporary traffic lights and a 24-hour road closure, which will be in operation from Tuesday 28th May 2024 to Friday 31st May 2024. A night time closure will be in operation from Monday 10th June 2024 to Sunday 16th June 2024 between 8.00pm and 6.00am.
Developer Funded Schemes
Road works at Oakfield Road / Bellingham Way junction – Stocklake, Aylesbury : Junction improvement work began week commencing Monday 13th May 2024 at Stocklake, Aylesbury and is expected to last for approximately 11 weeks. During the works, there will be traffic light management plus some temporary road closures and diversions will be necessary which will have an impact on local traffic. There will also be two limited periods of overnight road closure planned for Wednesday 3rd to Friday 5th July 2024 and Monday 8th to Thursday 11th July 2024.
