MATCH REPORT : Wycombe 1-1 Fleetwood

| February 11, 2014

Wycombe took an early lead thanks to a goal by Lewis just before half time which ended their recent goal drought of eight hours of match play without scoring.

It was a match which Wycombe desperately needed to win to claw themselves from the relegation zone but the hope of building a safety margin between themselves and conference football next year were cruelly dashed by Fleetwood’s No.9 (Parkin) who equalised in the 76th minute.

With Jamille Matt (Fleetwood) missing a header from close range in the closing moments of the game Wycombe were lucky to escape with the draw. After playing 4’18” of injury time the referee’s whistle came as a relief.

With 53% of possession Wycombe were the most dominant team and during the game managed four shots on target to Fleetwood’s three.

The 2,185 fans who made the trek to the ground must be wondering what the Blues need to do to win.
