A £2.5m share of the Department for Transport’s (DfT) £140 million road repair fund has been allocated to Buckinghamshire.
On the 9th March 2014 the DfT’s announced that it would be making the money available to highway authorities to help repair damage to roads caused by the recent storms and flooding. Buckinghamshire County Council successfully placed a bid and were allocated £2.5m for repairs following the recent severe weather.
Details of the locations where the money will be spent are to be published on the council’s website.
A further £200 million funding was announced in the Budget last week. The allocation of the funds will be announced by the DfT over the next few weeks.
