Car caught fire on M40 between Junctions 1a and 2
A car caught fire on the northbound carriageway of the M40 at 12.35am on Thursday 18th September 2014.
The incident occurred between Junction 1a (M25 interchange) and Junction 2 (Beaconsfield).
One fire appliance with crew attended from Gerrards Cross fire station together with one from Hillingdon fire station.
The firefighters used one hose reel during the operation to extinguish the fire.
