Road surfacing works planned from 26th September 2014 to 3rd October 2014
TfB have been thinking about their winter season and are looking at launching the Variable Lighting strategy in early October. This will see thousands of traditional street light lanterns swapped with energy efficient LED lanterns, creating numerous savings and give a much better quality of light to road users.
Last weekend TfB visited the Kop Hill Climb, which saw one of our gritters, Betty, make her first appearance of the season. We start monitoring the temperatures of the roads during October, and as strange as it sounds, Betty may be out and about on her gritting routes before too long.
This week TfB attended 221 potholes and 517 additional defects using their jet patcher. To date TfB have completed 75 of their schemes, out of a total of 126. The following roads had schemes completed last week:
Wallington Road / Elm Tree Hill, Chesham
Kingshill Road, High Wycombe
Bicester Road, Long Crendon
Wrights Lane, Prestwood
and Bierton Road/Aylesbury Road should be complete tonight (Friday 26th September 2014)Our Severe Weather Recovery Scheme visited the following roads this week:

Footway work was also completed as part of our countywide project. Each of the Bucksinghamshire County Councillors has chosen a couple of footpaths in their area that require some repair. These have been programmed and will receive a visit from TfB as part of the £2.5m project.
