| October 7, 2014

Wasps Rugby Club look set to leave Adams Park, their home for the past twelve years and move to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry approximately 80 miles away.

At a recent meeting of Coventry City Council the move received unanimous support however the move still needs approval from the Premiership and Rugby Football Union.

The move to the 32,609 capacity stadium would not affect Coventry City Football Club who also play there.

Wasps Rugby Club have made a £19.5m offer on the stadium, the 50% takeover would give them a 250 year lease on the ground.

Traditionally a London team, Wasps are also rumoured to be looking to relocate their training ground from Acton, West London.
