On Wednesday 8th October starting at 6.25pm the names of the 180 Downley men who fell in both World Wars will be included in the Roll of Honour to be read at the Tower of London.
The names of those read out will be added to the Roll of Honour at the Tower of London website so they can be seen and remembered from anywhere in the world.
The ceremony will take place in the poppy filled Tower moat which is being progressively filled with 888,246 ceramic poppies, one for every death in the British forces in the First World War.
At the end of the reading, which will take about 20 to 30 minutes, an Army bugler will play the Last Post.
