Chesham man charged with kidnap and driving offences

A 22 year old man of Milton Road in Chesham has been charged with kidnap and driving offences by Thames Valley Police. He was arrested on 12th October 2014.

The charges relate to an incident on Sunday 12th October 2014 when a car was stolen from the forecourt of Nashleigh Hill Garage in Nashleigh Hill, Chesham. The car owner’s 16 year old son was in the vehicle at the time.

The man has been charged with:

  • Aggravated vehicle taking and vehicle damage of £5000 or over
  • Kidnap – common law
  • Driving a motor vehicle dangerously
  • Driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence
  • Driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit
  • Using a motor vehicle on a road/ public place without third party insurance.

The man was remanded in custody and was due to appear at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 14th October 2014.
