Application submitted to build detached furniture storage building at The Clock House, Frogmoor

A planning application has been submitted to Wycombe District Council for the erection of new detached building for the storage of furniture at The Clock House, Frogmoor.

The planned furniture store is to be 12.2m long x 2.4m wide and 2.6m high. The building is to be constructed with a timber framework and a black feather-edge cladding on all sides.

The Clock House building was designed by architect Arthur Vernon and was opened on 13th December 1893 originally housing the Science and Arts Schools. Currently it is used as student accommodation. The building has had many uses during it’s lifetime including as a swimming pool, however despite its rich history the building is not afforded any listed protection whatsoever by English Heritage.

A target determination date for the planning application has been set as Tuesday 23rd December 2014. The planning application reverence number is 14/07773/FUL.
