County Hall and Mix 96 Radio will be taken over by young people from across Buckinghamshire on Friday 21st November 2014 to talk about the issues that really matter to them for the national Children’s Commissioner Takeover Day.

Thirty two young people will be involved in a number of Takeover Day activities which include running County Council social media accounts; taking over the Mix 96 studio; running an ‘Apprentice’-style business enterprise event designing products to sell for their chosen charity; and working with public health practitioners to input into the Council’s health and well being work for young people. A pod cast series, The Voice of Youth, featuring young people’s interviews with MPs and local business owners, will also be broadcast on the day.

The aim of the day is to give young people a voice, challenging stereotypes and offering new perspectives; young people and organisations can work together, giving young people the chance to be involved with decision-making and influencing policy.
