Marlow believed to be first town in the world to have dedicated window shopping app

| November 19, 2014

Marlow is believed to be the first town in the world to have a dedicated window shopping smartphone phone app created for it.

Released just before the start of the busy Christmas shopping period the new app, called MarlowWS, is designed to help shoppers remember and share the details of items they have seen in Marlow’s shops.

Users can take a snap of something of interest, record which shop it was viewed in together with a note for future reference. Once a list of items has been created it can be shared through e-mail and social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter.

Venues, such as pubs and restaurants and key events can also be looked up using the app which comes pre-loaded with a list of shops in Marlow.

The developers of the app, Maidenhead based creative agency Brash, believe Marlow is the first town in the world to have a dedicated window shopping app created for it. The app was developed with help and support from Marlow Town Council.

The app can be download for free from the Apple and Google Play app stores.
