Man suffered burns in flat fire – Arnison Avenue, High Wycombe
Fire broke out in a flat above a shop in Arnison Avenue, High Wycombe on the morning of Saturday 9th December 2014.
Firefighters were called at 9.32am. Two fire appliances with crews were despatched from High Wycombe fire station together with one from Beaconsfield fire station. An officer also attended the scene.
One jet, one hose reel, a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan and a thermal imaging camera were used by firefighters during the operation to extinguish the fire.
The firefighters gave oxygen to a man who was suffering from the effects of breathing in smoke. He was left in the care of paramedics for treatment to burns. Three other men were out of the flat before firefighters arrived.
The flat was badly damaged by fire and the ground floor was damaged by water.
