On Wednesday 21st January 2015 Wycombe Magistrates’ Court granted Thames Valley Police a three month closure order in respect of a residential property in Keats Close, Aylesbury.

The closure order was issued under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Police Act. It excludes everyone from the property, including the occupant, during that time period.

Closure orders can be made in respect of premises that cause significant and persistent disorder, or persistent serious nuisance to a community.

LPA Commander for Aylesbury, Supt Olly Wright, said: ‘I am pleased that the Magistrates’ Court has granted the closure order for the property in Keats Close. Anti-social behaviour can cause great problems for the local community. Residents in Keats Close should not have to have their lives disrupted by such behaviour and I hope that this closure order will be a great relief for them.

The closure notice was authorised after reports of anti-social behaviour at the property and close co-operation with the district council and housing provider.

It was the first to be issued by Thames Valley Police in Buckinghamshire.

Thames Valley Police are advising anyone who has any concerns regarding anti-social behaviour to call the Thames Valley Police enquiry line on 101.
