Wycombe Wanderers 2-1 Cheltenham Town
Wycombe Wanderers faced Cheltenham Town at Adams Park on Saturday 11th April 2015 in a game the Blues needed to win to keep their automatic promotion hopes alive.
The Wanderers took the lead just before half time through a goal from Aaron Pierre in the forty fifth minute.
Cheltenham drew level soon after the start of the second half when Durrell Berry placed the ball in the bottom left corner of the Wycombe net.
Alfie Mawson sealed the win for Wycombe with a headed goal after connecting with a corner shot from a Sam Saunders.
Today’s win brings to an end a run of two successive defeats for Wycombe, the Blues played well and deserved the win. Their chances of automatic promotion are still alive and they remain in third position in League Two with seventy seven points from forty two games. However fourth placed Bury are still too close for comfort with seventy three points from forty one games.
