Two men injured in collision between two lorries on M40

A collision involving two lorries occurred on the Northbound carriageway of the M40 between Junction 2 (Beaconsfield) and Junction 3 (Loudwater) during the afternoon of Thursday 9th July 2015.

Firefighters were alerted to the incident at 2.44pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from Beaconsfield fire station as well as one from Gerrards Crossfire station. Two Urban Search and Rescue vehicles from Aylesbury fire station and an officer also attended.

An injured man was released from the wreckage of the vehicle in which he was travelling. Another man, also injured, managed to escape before the firefighters arrived.

Severe delays occurred because of the incident and traffic was re-routed onto other roads.
