Man, 18, convicted of sexual activity with 14 year old child in High Wycombe

An 18 year old man previously of Grenfell Avenue, High Wycombe has been convicted of one count of sexual activity with a child aged 14.

The conviction, relating to an incident that occurred in High Wycombe on Friday 8th June 2012 in High Wycombe, follows an investigation by Thames Valley Police. The man pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday 20th August 2015.

Investigating officer, Det Insp Sally Spencer from High Wycombe Local CID, said: ‘This conviction relates to an investigation by High Wycombe Force CID targeting sexual offences on young women.

I would like to thank the victim and witnesses who attended court to give evidence for the courage they have shown in speaking out against this behaviour.

We take every report of a sexual offence seriously and I urge anyone who has been a victim to contact us so that we can to bring offenders to justice.

The sentencing of the convicted man is due to take place on Friday 11th September 2015.
