Woman, 42, sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing television from 85 year old man

On Friday 4th September 2015 a 42 year old woman of Seymour Park Road, Marlow woman was sentenced, at Aylesbury Crown Court, to 18 months in prison for burglary and ordered to pay a £100 victim surcharge and £150 fine.

The woman pleaded guilty to one count of burglary dwelling at a hearing held at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 27th June 2015.

The sentence is in connection with an incident that occurred on the evening of Saturday 2nd May 2015 when the woman broke into the home of an 85 year old man in Underwood Road, High Wycombe, and stole his television.

The woman was arrested on Friday 8th May 2015 and charged on Friday 26th June 2015.

PC Chris Flowers from Local CID based at High Wycombe police station said: ‘I am happy with the sentence passed down from the courts for this offence as [the woman] has taken advantage of a vulnerable elderly resident from the local area.
