Shortly before 7.30pm on Sunday 11th October 2015 a fatal collition occurred on the A355 at Coleshill about half a mile towards Amersham from the junction with Magpie Lane.
A blue Ford Mondeo travelling from Amersham was involved in a collision with a blue BMW 5 series travelling in the opposite direction.
Firefighters were called at 7.26pm. One fire appliance with crew attended from Amersham fire station as well as one from Beaconsfield fire station.
The male driver of the Ford Mondeo died at the scene. The female driver of the BMW series was cut from the wreckage of the vehcile she was travelling in by firefighters usign hydraulic cutting equipment.
The woman sustained serious leg and arm injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she remains. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The road was closed while Roads Policing officers investigated the circumstances of the collision and it re-opened by midnight.
Investigating officer PC Dean Verges, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Amersham, said: ‘I would like to speak to anyone who saw this fatal collision or saw the vehicles travelling prior to the collision.
