Conrad Shawcross, a leading British artist who studied at Oxford’s Ruskin School of Art, has been commissioned to produce a series of contemporary artworks to feature on Chiltern Railways new timetables.

The timetable, which starts on Sunday 25th October 2015, marks the launch of the new rail link from Oxford Parkway to London Marylebone.

Entitled ‘Expanding Forms’ Shawcross’ new artwork continues the artist’s investigations into the radiant geometry of the five Platonic solids.

The movement of the forms across the nine timetables refers to notions of the birth of the universe, diagrams of growth and change, and patterns of dynamic expansion and recession.
