Aylesbury’s Christmas lights will be switched on by Sam Bailey, X Factor winner and star of the Dick Whittington pantomime at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre, on Thursday 19th November 2015.

Hosted by Mix 96 radio, the Christmas lights switch on event will take place between 5.30pm and 7.30pm in Aylesbury’s Market Square. There will also be a funfair in Kingsbury. The lights will be switched on at 7pm with a fireworks display to follow.

Sam will be joined by Buckinghamshire’s very own funny man and comic panto king,

Andy Collins who plays Idle Jack in the Waterside production of Disk Whittington will also join Sam during the switching on of the lights.

Aylesbury Town Centre Manager Diana Fawcett said: ‘There are a wide range of Christmas activities in Aylesbury town across November and December, both for families and for shoppers. The Aylesbury Town Centre Partnership is delighted to be hosting this phenomenally popular event.‘

After 4.30pm between Thursday 19th November 2015 and Thursday 24th December 2015 shoppers will be able to park for free in AVDC town centre car parks in Aylesbury.
