Four fire appliances attend fire in Gerrards Cross after fire in bathroom spreads to roof

A fire in a light fitting in a first-floor bathroom spread to roof of a property Uplands Close, Gerrards Cross during the early hours of Saturday 14th November 2015.

At 5.02am firefighters were called to the scene. Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, High Wycombe and Slough fire stations each despatched one fire appliance with crew to the incident. An officer also attended.

A main jet, hose reel, turntable ladder, two sets of breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera were used during the operation to extinguish the fire.

The roof of the property sustained 50% damaged by fire and 100% damaged by heat, smoke and water. The first floor of the property was 20% damaged by fire and 70% damaged by heat, smoke and water.
