Van caught fire on M40 at Stokenchurch

A van caught fire on the Southbound carriageway of the M40 at Junction 5 (Stokenchurch) during the late afternoon of Monday 16th November 2015.

Firefighters were called at 4.30pm. Two fire appliances with crews were despatched to the incident from High Wycombe fire station as well as one from Wheatley fire station. An officer also attended the scene.

Two hose reels and one set of breathing apparatus was used during the operation to extinguish the fire.

The three occupants of the van were able to escape from the vehicle uninjured.
