AFC Wimbledon 1-1 Wycombe Wanderers

Wycombe Wanderers travelled to AFC Wimbledon on Saturday 2st November 2105.

 The first half of the match was vary calm and the score remained goalless at half time.

Wycombe took the initiative in the second half and in the fifty first minute Jason McCarthy put the Blues ahead with his first goal in professional football after Wimbledon were unable to clear Michael Harriman’s free kick.

It looked like Wycombe were cruising to victory when in the ninetieth minute Wycombe goalkeeper Matt Ingram failed to punch the ball clear and Ade Azeez scored for the Dons claiming a point for Wimbledon and turning what should have been a win for Wycombe into a draw.

Wycombe were by far the more dominant team throughout the game with 52% ball possession. During the match Wycombe made nine attempts on goal (four on target) compared to eight for Wimbledon (two on target).

There were twenty eight fouls, seventeen by Wimbledon players and eleven committed by Wycombe players.

Wycombe are currently in eleventh position in League Two with twenty six points from sixteen games however they have two matches in hand.

The attendance at Kingsmeadow was 4,482 (749 from Wycombe).
