Chesham Toy Bank is to open it’s doors to parents and carers of children (aged 0-17) at 10.00am on Monday 14th December 2015.
The toy bank was set up to help the estimated 500 children in Chesham area who are living below the poverty line and may not receive a present at Christmas time.
In order for parents and carers to use the toy bank proof is needed that the child exists (e.g. a birth certificate, red book, etc) as well as proof that the child lives at a Chesham area address.
The toybank is open until the Friday 18th December 2015 to help parents and carers with children then on Saturday 19th December 2015 everyone is welcome and financial donations will be accepted for the remaining items to help clear left over stock and also give grandparents a chance to buy something more affordable, if they are struggling financially.
People are also being asked to give up their time by volunteering to help out at the site.
The toy bank is located at Unit 5, Power House, Higham Mead, Chesham. Bucks. HP5 2AH.
