Man found with shot gun injuries in Downley

At around 5.30pm on Sunday 27th December 2015 police officers were called to Hithercroft Road, Downley were a man in his early thirties was found with injuries consistent to him being shot with a shot gun.

The man required immediate medical attention but at this stage his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Senior Investigating Officer, Det Insp Brendan Murray, based at Aylesbury police station, said: ‘I would like to reassure the public that this attack appears to have been targeted against an individual and does not represent a threat to the community of Downley or the surrounding areas.

However in light of this officers have been in the area conducting enquiries and seeking to reassure local residents.
