Witness appeal launched following death of a cyclist in Chesham Bois
An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police following the death of a cyclist on a road in Chesham Bois on Monday 4th January 2016.
At around 5.00pm a man, 87, was discovered on the A416 Amersham Road about 10 metres north of the junction with North Road. He was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
It is believed that the man who was from Amersham had been cycling on a blue folding Hercules bicycle and fell from his bicycle suffering serious head injuries.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone who saw the man cycling in the area, or witnessed the incident, to contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
