About 40 bottles of spirit taken during burglary at pub in High Wycombe

| January 18, 2016

About 40 bottles of spirit worth approximately £825 were taken during a burglary at the Bootlegger pub in Amersham Hill, High Wycombe.

Between about 4.50am and 6.10am on Tuesday 12th January 2015 offenders gained entry to the pub after forcing open a cellar door at the back of the premises. They also stole the master keys but were unsuccessful in their attempt to access the tills.

It is believed offenders carried the bottles in away from the premises in large duffle bags towards the direction of Amersham Hill.

Investigating officer PC Hannah Davison, based at High Wycombe police station, said: ‘It was about 6.10am when the offenders left the Bootlegger pub. The early morning commute was beginning and traffic was travelling down Amersham Hill at the time.

Motorists may have seen the offenders.

I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone with information in the incident to contact PC Hannah Davison, at High Wycombe police station, via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
