Man, 35, suffers life changing injuries in M40 crash
At about 9.25pm on Sunday 31st January 2016 a blue Ford Focus was travelling on the Northbound carriageway of the M40 motorway when the vehicle left the carriageway, drove up the adjacent embankment, through a hedge and ended up on its roof in a nearby field.
The incident occurred between Junctions 2 (Beaconsfield) and Junction 3 (Loudwater).
The passenger in the vehicle, a 35 year old man, was seriously hurt in the collision and taken to Wexham Park Hospital with life changing injuries.
The driver, aged 27, was also injured. However he was subsequently discharged from hospital. He has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and is currently in Police custody.
Thames Valley Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision or seen the blue Ford Focus driving in the area around this time to please call Thames Valley Police on 101 and ask to speak to PC John Belson of the Amersham Roads Policing Team.
