The Buckinghamshire Art Society will be holding a Spring Open Art Exhibition at the Fitzwilliams Centre in Beaconsfield on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th April 2016

The event, which will be opened by the Major of Beaconsfield John Read, will be open from 10.00am to 5.00pm with a preview evening on Friday 22nd April 2016 from 6.30pm to 9.00pm.

The Bucks Art Society (BAS) may be a local organisation but its members feature among the best painters, printmakers, sculptors, glass artists and ceramicists in the UK. Jean Whitson is one such member, who will be exhibiting at the Society’s forthcoming Spring Show.

Jean is a landscape and figurative artist, who regularly exhibits in The Society of Women Artists Annual Exhibition at the London Mall Galleries. Her picture Spanish Market (shown above) was exhibited at the Mall Galleries.

We strive to maintain a rigorous selection process for entry into the Society,‘ explained Antonia Glynne Jones, Chair of BAS, ‘This ensures that our exhibitions continue to reflect the very best art Buckinghamshire has to offer. With such a wide range of talent, there really is something for everyone at our show.

First established over 90 years ago, the Society currently has over 100 members. Honorary members of the BAS include some of Buckinghamshire’s leading artists such as Paul Millichip, Brian Bennett, and Clarissa Galliano.

Further information and invitations are available from the Buckinghamshire Art Society website (www.bucksart.co.uk).
