New website launches to inform LGBT residents about services in and around Buckinghamshire
A new website had been launched aimed at LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) residents in Buckinghamshire.
The LGBT Bucks website includes national and local information, as well as practical tips and advice and aims to inform LGBT residents about services in and around Buckinghamshire.
The website includes contributions from a number of statutory and voluntary partners and is maintained by a partnership of Buckinghamshire organisations. It was created thanks to funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner through the Safer and Stronger Buckinghamshire Partnership Board.
The website raises awareness of LGBT domestic abuse and details general community safety advice as well as including web pages on social and sport issues, sexual health, ‘coming out’, fostering and adoption, civil weddings/civil partnerships and Transgender. There is also a blog section that LGBT residents can submit posts to.
