Police launch witness appeal following fight in Broad Street, Chesham

At around 1.30am on the morning of Sunday 3rd July 2016 a group of about 10 people were involved in a fight on Broad Street, Chesham.

During the fight a 26 year old male victim sustained a wound to his face which required hospital treatment. It is believed this was caused by a small knife.

Broad Street was closed as part of an investigation into the incident by Thames Valley Police. A 37 year old man from Amersham has been arrested on suspicion of ABH.

Thames Valley Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the incident.

DS Tracey Benham from Force CID in Aylesbury said: ‘I would ask anyone with information about this incident to please call TVP on 101.

I know there has been a lot of speculation relating to this and to reassure the local community and confirm we are not aware of any firearms being linked to this incident.

Broad Street has now reopened following our investigation and I would like to thank the local community for their support. If anyone has any concerns please contact their neighbourhood team or call 101.
