Witness appeal lunched after man was seen throwing firework into smoking area of High Wycombe pub

An appeal for witnesses has been launched by Thames Valley Police after a man was seen throwing a lit firework into the smoking area of the O’Neills Pub in Pauls Row, High Wycombe.

The incident occurred at around 12.10am on Sunday 1st January 2017. Nobody was injured.

A 22 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of throwing fireworks in a public place in connection with the incident and has been bailed until Tuesday 17th January 2017.

Investigating officer PC Rob Allen from High Wycombe Police Station, said: ‘This incident took place in a busy area, in the smoking area of O’Neills pub and we believe that there would have been a lot of people around at the time who may have witnessed this.
