Yeovil Town were welcomed to Adams Park for a League Two match on Saturday 14th January 2017.
Wycombe made a positive start, in the seventeenth minute Dominic Gape nearly put the Chairboys ahead however his shot hit the bar. A minute later Adebayo Akinfenwa also came close to scoring but his header went to the left of the goal.
It was Yeovil who opened the scoring when, in the twentieth minute, Kevin Dawson scored from the penalty spot after Sido Jombati fouled a Yeovil player in the penalty area.
However Wycombe did not have to wait long to bring the scores level. In the twenty fourth minute Alex Lacy fouled Wycombe’s Paris Cowan-Hall in the Yeovil penalty area. Joe Jacobson duly converted from the spot when, in the twenty sixth minute, his left footed shot found the bottom right corner of the Yeovil goal.
The score remained a goal apiece and the points were shared. Wycombe remain in fifth position, still in the play off positions, of League Two with forty two points from twenty five games.
The Blues were the dominant team during today’s match with 55% possession and managing to get seven of their eighteen shots on the Yeovil goal on target. Yeovil could only manage to place two of their seven shots on goal on target. The match saw twenty two fouls, eleven by each team.
The attendance at Adams Park was 3,493.
