Fire broke out in a takeaway shop in Desborough Road, High Wycombe

Firefighters were called to Desborough Road, High Wycombe at 12.41pm on Wednesday 26th July 2017 after fire broke out in a takeaway shop.

The fire, at the Peri-Peri Original takeaway food shop, spread to a flat while three other flats were damaged by smoke. A man was rescued by the firefighters who handed him into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Two fire appliances with crews attended from High Wycombe fire station, one from Beaconsfield fire station, one from Amersham fire station and the Incident Command Unit from Aylesbury. Two officers also attended the incident.

Two hose reels, four sets of breathing apparatus and a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan were used during the operation to extinguish the fire.
