Third person arrested after taxi driver was sprayed in the eyes with substance in George Street, High Wycombe
Police have arrested a third person after a taxi driver was sprayed in the eyes with an unknown substance in High Wycombe.
On Sunday 30th July 2017, at about 1.00am, the 43 year old male taxi driver dropped off three customers in George Street, High Wycombe. The customers left the taxi without paying so the taxi driver followed the customers who then paid.
One of the customers then sprayed an unknown substance in the taxi drivers eyes and the customers fled the scene in an unknown direction.
On Wednesday 2nd August 2017 police arrested a 16 year old boy from High Wycombe on suspicion of GBH with intent.
On Monday 31st July 2017 a 15 year old boy from High Wycombe was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent. He was released under investigation during the night of Tuesday 1st August 2017.
Another 15 year old boy also from High Wycombe was also arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent on Sunday 30th July 2017. He has also been released under investigation.
The taxi driver remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
