Wycombe Homeless Connection sees increase in demand for its services
Wycombe Homeless Connection has seen an increase in the demand for its services over the past year according to figures released recently.
From the beginning of April 2016 to the end of March 2017 Wycombe Homeless Connection (WHC) has :
- Helped 504 people – a 15% increase on the previous year. Of the 504 people, 404 were first time visitors to WHC.
- Given 2944 separate instances of face to face support.
- Helped people avoid 23 evictions – 77% more than in the previous year.
- 490 people visited the WHC Support Centre for housing help and advice – an increase of 14%.
Demand for the services provided by Wycombe Homeless Connection have never been so high which paints a bleak picture of the state of homelessness in High Wycombe.
