Police attended Townfield House Mosque in Totteridge Road following report of an ‘altercation’
Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to the Townfield House Mosque on Totteridge Road, High Wycombe at approximately 1.40pm on Friday 15th September 2017.
At least six police cars attended the incident.
During Friday prayers an argument erupted when some of the worshippers became ‘unhappy’ at plans for the introduction of a new £25 annual membership fee.
However the Police officers entered the mosque wearing their shoes, which goes against the Islamic practice of removing footwear in a holy building.
Several worshippers confronted the Police officers who entered the Mosque for failing to remove their footwear according to reports in national newspapers.
