The closure has been announced of five underused recycling centres in the Wycombe District.

Since the roll out of the Joint Waste Service in 2013 the number of people using the kerbside collection to recycle their household waste has increased 10%.

As more people use the recycling service on their doorsteps, fewer people are using the recycling centres around the Wycombe District.

A review and consultation with District Councillors and Town and Parish Councils has taken place and as a result the following recycling centres will be closed from Monday 2nd October 2017 :

  • Mendy Street, High Wycombe.
  • Flackwell Heath Community Centre.
  • Kingswood Car Park, Cock Lane, Tylers Green.
  • Beamangreen Wood Road, Walters Ash.
  • Edmonds Road Car Park, Lane End.
