Swindon Town 1-0 Wycombe Wanderers
Wycombe Wanderers travelled to Swindon on Saturday 21st October 2017 for a League Two match.
In just the eleventh minute Swindon came close to scoring when Amine Linganzi headed from the centre of the box however the ball was saved as it made its way towards in the bottom left corner of the Wycombe goal.
Just four minutes later Swindon took the lead with a left footed shot from Harry Smith which found the top right corner of the Wycombe goal.
Wycombe kept pressing and nearly levelled the scores just before half time however in the forty first minute a shot by Adebayo Akinfenwa came close to finding the back of the net but missed to the left and Nick Freeman header in the forty second minute was also close but missed to the left of the goal.
In the second half Wycombe had several chances to draw level but failed to do so. A single goal was enough to win the game for Swindon leaving Wycombe to suffer their first defeat in six League Two matches.
During the game Wycombe managed 52% possession. Just two of Wycombe’s ten shots on goal were on target while six of Swindon’s ten shots on goal were on target. The match saw twenty nine fouls, fifteen by Swindon and fourteen by Wycombe players.
Following today’s game Wycombe slip to fifth position in League Two with twenty six points from fifteen games.
