Burglars wielding hammer threaten occupants of property in Chesham
Burglars wielding a hammer threatened the occupants of a property in Chesham during an aggravated burglary.
On Thursday 19th October 2017, at around 7.00pm, a group of approximately three to four men entered a property in Wey Lane by forcing entry then threatened the occupants of the property with a hammer and assaulted one of the victims, a man aged in his fifties.
A quantity of cash, costume jewellery and a bank card were stolen during the burglary. The man aged in his fifties sustained slight bruising during the incident.
One of the offenders is describes as approximately 5ft 10ins, of medium build. He was wearing black trousers, a dark red or mauve bandana and black Nike trainers.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Frances Robinson, of Force CID based at Aylesbury police station, said: ‘Detectives are investigating the circumstances and I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the local area at around the time of the incident.
I would also be interested to hear from anyone who has any information which could help the investigation.‘
